Q1) what are the available image file formats ?
JPEG : JPEG ( Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a standard image format containing lossy and compressed image data , particularly for those images produced by digital photography. It is the most common image format for storing and transmitting photographic images on world wide web. Some of the file name extensions .jpg , .jpeg , .
PNG : A PNG ( Portable Network Graphics) is a raster- graphics file format ( a bitmap image that represents a generally rectangular grid of pixels viewable via computer display , paper. PNG was developed as an improved or non- patented replacement for graphic interchange format (GIF).
GIF : A GIF ( Graphics Interchange Format) is a lossless format for image files that supports both animated and static images. The format supports up to 8 bits per pixel for each image , allowing a single image to reference its own palette of up to 256 different colors. It also supports animations and allows a separate palette of up to 256 colors for each frame.
TIFF : TIFF ( Tag Image File Format) is a computer file format for storing a raster graphics images. This file type is known for using ''lossless compression,'' meaning the original image data is maintained regardless of how often you might copy, resave, or compress the original file.
Q2) What are the artistic filters that you have applied ?
Some of the artistic filters used by me are :
1) Neon Glow : Adds various types of glows to the objects in an image. This filter is useful for colorizing an image while softening its look.
2) Paint Daubs : Lets you choose from various brush sizes (from 1 to 50) and types for a painterly effect. Brush types include Simple, Light Rough, Dark Rough, Wide Sharp, Wide Blurry, and Sparkle.
3) Angled Strokes : Repaints an image using diagonal strokes, with lighter and darker areas painted in strokes going in opposite directions.
4 )Film Grain: Applies an even pattern to the shadow tones and midtones. A smoother, more saturated pattern is added to the lighter areas. This filter is useful for eliminating banding in blends and visually unifying elements from various sources.
Q3) What is meant by Color Balance ?
Color balance is the global adjustment of the intensities of the colors ( typically red, green and blue primary colors). Hence, the general method is sometimes called gray balance, neutral balance, or white balance. Color balance changes the overall mixture of colors in an image and is used for color correction.
Q4) What are Hue and Saturation ?
Hue : Hue is a dominant wavelength and it is the first term we refer to when adding in the three components of a color. The three primary hues in light are red, green, and blue. That is why televisions, computer monitors, and other full-range, electronic color visual displays use a triad of red, green, and blue phosphors to produce all electronically communicated color.
Saturation: Saturation defines the brilliance and intensity of a color. It refers to the dominance of hue in the color. Saturation pertains the amount of white light mixed with a hue.
Q5) Who owns this file after the considerable changes you have made to the image ?
Ownership of the image file is not changed by editing. Unless the permission is not granted from the owner. However, it may be illegal use someone else work or to modify without their permission.
Q6) What is meant by ownership, pixels, binary representation ?
Ownership
The ownership of the image file does not change by editing.
It is illegal to use someone else work or modify it without their permission.
copyright: which it legal right of the creator or owner of a piece of work.
Unless you have permission you may not use the media unless you are the creator.
Pixels
Pixels are the building blocks of images. Each pixel represented by red, green and blue value. Each color value is between 0 to 255.
Binary Representation
A digital computer is binary. The Computer represents everything in 1s and 0s. Everything is stored in one of two states. which can be thought of as 1 or 0.
